Announcements

Our Uptown Branch is open to the public by appointment only!

Our available services at the 7th Ave location in Uptown Marion include holds pick-up and print pick-up by appointment only. With our limited space at 7th Ave, only four patrons will be allowed in the building. To schedule an appointment click here.

The Marion Public Library is excited to announce our partnership with CHOMP Delivery service. When your holds become available, you can order pickup through CHOMP and have your library materials delivered straight to your doorstep. With this partnership, this will significantly reduce the close contact our staff encounters everyday while giving you the flexbility to have materials delivered to your home on your schedule. Download CHOMP on the App Store or Google Play to get started. A small fee will be charged for materials to be delivered.

Our temporary Technology Station is located at the Marion Columbus Club, 5650 Kacena Avenue. Several computers are available for use with printing available. Staff are onsite for assistance with basic computer navigation and questions regarding applications for FEMA. Also, our DOT KIOSK is located here. No appointments needed.

MATERIAL RETURNS: Our 7th Ave dropbox is now available. You may return your Marion Library materials to any of the other Metro Libraries or to any of the Hy-Vee grocery stores in the Metro area.

Surprise Me! Bundles are a new service offered by the Marion Public Library to help get materials into your hands faster. They consist of 2-5 items for each category randomly chosen by staff. When requesting online, bundles are typically available the same day for pickup. There are also bundles immediately available for check out at the Uptown Branch.

We would love to hear your feedback! Tell us what you think about Surprise Me! Bundles here.
